Ruth Rayman, B.Eng. MBA
After a 35-year career in semiconductor photonics, Ruth Rayman retired in 2021 as Director General of the Advanced Electronics and Photonics Research Centre at the National Research Council of Canada. Previously, she held senior management positions at RCA, Lumonics and Nortel Networks and is past President of the Canadian Photonics Consortium. Ruth holds a degree in Engineering Physics from McMaster University, an M.B.A. from the University of Ottawa, and an Executive Certificate in Technology Management from MIT. She is currently on the Board of the University of Ottawa Heart Institute Research Centre and is an Honorary Warden of the Iron Ring for Ottawa.
